How are large and heavy glass panels installed to tall structures & buildings?
Although there is more than one way to do this, AGI Structural Glazing has developed an attachment that fits a glass suction lifter onto a truck mounted crane. The vehicle takes up only a small amount of space and can reach upto 35 metres high. The glass is attached to the suction lifter, which is held in place by a vacuum and the crane lifts it into the opening.
On the inside of the building, installers will carefully position the glass into place and apply any fixings.
